It started with a blog post about a bride-to-be choosing a day of service over a traditional bridal shower. It was followed by a tweet, from a photographer to the blogger, saying we should host one ourselves with other wedding vendors. It grew into multiple emails, where that photographer & blogger decided, yes we should plan a day of service for DC wedding vendors to share in a different kind of love - not between two people, but between citizens and their city. A day where rad DC wedding vendors could give back and volunteer for a day.

And so the "DC Wedding Vendor Day of Service" began.
